The TV of Tomorrow show took place this year in San Francisco from June 12th until June 13th.
Olivier Lacour, Creative Director at NDS Technologies France, took part in the roundtable “Interactive TV design” discussion along with Chris Noessel, Managing Director and Practice Lead of Interaction Design, at Cooper and other prominent broadcast executives in the field.
The main message of Olivier’s speech is that design should be considered as a driving force and he stressed the importance of making the TV a social media, adopted by the mass market. He spoke of how design allows the UI to bring the user and content closer and how it should incorporate simple, easy to use applications. To end with, he insisted on the importance of multi devices and entertainment.
